About Registered Massage Therapy

Building Relationships

You will reap the benefits of massage if it becomes a regular part of your life. My goal is for us to work together to take better care of your health, long-term.

Sharing Knowledge

Communication is key. I need to know what you're feeling, experiencing and what you're looking to gain in order to best help you. In turn, I will explain the treatment and what you can expect to gain from it.

Helping You Feel Better

Massage is a tool to help heal. Whether it's stress, illness or simply to pamper yourself, the benefits of massage can be life changing. I would be honored to take that journey with you.

Swedish Massage

Services available

Swedish Massage

Swedish massage is the most common and best known type of massage in the West.

A Swedish massage can be slow and gentle, or vigorous and deep depending on the therapists style and the goal they want to achieve.  It is up to you the client to inform the therapist how deep or how light you prefer.

In all Swedish massage treatments the therapist lubricates the skin with massage oil and performs various massage strokes.  These movements warm up the muscle tissue, releasing tension and gradually breaking up muscle "knots" or adhered tissue.

Swedish massage promotes relaxation as well as many other health benefits

  • relieves stress
  • improves posture
  • improves circulation
  • lowers blood pressure
  • relaxes muscles
  • improves flexibility and range of motion
  • promotes deeper and easier breathing
  • relieves headaches
  • strengthens the immune system
  • enhances post operative rehabilitation
  • improves rehabilitation after injury

Who needs massage therapy?

  • workers in physically demanding jobs
  • workers in office and service industry with neck, shoulder, head or low back pain
  • People with whiplash injuries
  • senior citizens with arthritis or joint stiffness
  • athletes
  • people concerned about their health and well-being
  • Youths with growing pains

Massage can benefit people of all ages and conditions - babies, children, pregnant women, the elderly, those in chronic care and those who need palliative care.  It is not necessary to have an ailment to visit a massage therapist.  Many people choose massage therapy as a part of a health maintenance program and visit their therapist at regular intervals or as required for their specific goals..
